We’re excited to welcome back Shahla Motamedi as our First Friday Santa Cruz featured artist for the month of August!

Shahla Motamedi graduated from Philadelphia University with bachelors of Science in Textile Chemistry. Mixing colors for fabrics or painting with acrylics, making colorful jewelry, or vibrant photographs of nature scenes have always been part of her fabric as an artist.

Shahla organized Adventure and Educational travel for UCSC and Cabrillo students for 10 years to destinations like Papua New Guinea, Australia, Galapagos Islands, MachuPicchu, Ecuador, Amazon Jungle and many more. The vibrant photographs and images of the trip inspired people to join their adventures.

Shahla graduated from the film and television program from DeAnza College and filmmaking is another one of her passions. She also enjoys Photography, Travel, Horse riding, Scuba Diving, Filmmaking, painting.
