Learn to paint and create a beautiful composition in a range of mediums. Learn about colors, how to make your own colors, the formula to creating a good composition and everything you want to know about painting while having a good time!

All ages and all levels are welcome! Students 8 years old or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Students 18 years old or younger must provide us with an emergency contact number of their parents, legal guardian or any adult that may provide care in case of an emergency.

Option to paint whatever your heart desires, or go through a list of subjects to build overall skill. Option to learn how to draw, or transfer an image to get straight to painting. 

Option to paint with acrylics, gouache, acrylic gouache and/ or watercolor pencils. Option to paint on a canvas or watercolor paper. These mediums may also be used together giving you the opportunity to explore more!

Materials are not included, but Palace Arts will supply you with a $10 off $40 Coupon to purchase any materials you may need. For the first class it is important to have a pencil, a canvas or sheet of watercolor paper, and a printed image of what you wish to paint. If you do not have access to a printer you may use your phone or ipad. If you don’t know what to paint I can provide an image for you! You are also welcome to bring a painting you have already started so that I can help you through your process.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

$50 per class, or $175 for 5 classes. Students are recommended to commit to at least 5 classes to finish a painting.

IMPORTANT! You must sign up for class a minimum of 3 days in advance so that I can be prepared when class day comes. For example if you plan on coming to class Monday June 3 then you must sign up by Friday May 31. If you sign up after May 31 you will begin your first class on Monday June 10. Classes are not refundable, but if you miss your class, you can always make up for it next time you are available.

ABOUT VICTORIA MIESSLER

My name is Victoria Miessler and I have been painting since I was 9 years old when I decided to make it my career. I took painting classes in college in 2014 & 2015 and graduated with a bachelor’s in fine arts in 2017. Right before graduating I got hired as a textile artist for a fashion company and learned a lot about how to make eye catching patterns and textile designs. After a year of working there I left to teach painting classes at an after school art program called Priscilla and Tiffany’s Art Academy in Miami Florida. There I discovered my strong passion for teaching. Today I live in Santa Cruz and have a studio space in downtown called the Vision Sanctuary where me and my team of artists host workshops, events, and classes. I also design my own clothes and sell them to different stores in Santa Cruz, at my gallery and on my website.
